Rainforest Alliance is a nonprofit international organization that operates at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests to make responsible business the new normal. Mayacert is an approved Certification Body for the Rainforest Alliance certification program, which is looking to create an alliance to protect forests, enhance the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights, and assist in climate crisis mitigation and adaptation.

The Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard is currently used in over 70 countries around the world by around two million farmers and thousands of companies. It aims to drive more sustainable agricultural production in crops such as coffee, cocoa, tea, and bananas, as well as more responsible and transparent supply chains.
