Mayacert SL, through its representative office in Seville, Spain, is currently in the process of being accredited and authorized by the Autonomous Community of Andalusia to provide organic certification services under EU Regulation 2018/848 on organic production and labeling of organic products. This regulation defines the core principles, objectives, and standards of organic production in the European Union, ensuring traceability, transparency, and sustainability across the supply chain.

The requested scope covers Categories A, B, and D:

• Category A: Unprocessed plant-based agricultural products.
• Category B: Unprocessed animals and animal-derived products.
• Category D: Processed products for human consumption.

Implementing a certification system compliant with EU Regulation 2018/848 will allow Andalusian producers to join an internationally recognized framework, grounded in EU law and committed to environmental protection, animal welfare, and the integrity of organic production.

This initiative enhances competitiveness, opens access to global markets, and strengthens consumer confidence in certified organic products. Through this effort, Mayacert SL supports the development of a more equitable, transparent, and sustainable agri-food sector aligned with European and Andalusian environmental goals.
